Kanye West may just have found another way to draw crowds
After sitting in first row at the LV shows for some years already, the classic yet innovative luxury house and the singer have come together to create what might be a big sell out for the summer. So far only two monochromatic models have been shown, leaving fashionistas all around waiting eagerly for the rest of the unveiled collection.
The first model to come out was a red midtop with no frills, save for a quilted flap in the back, having in mind that its easier to tuck in your pants that way. “The inspiration came from a jacket with a huge collar in the movie ‘Dune,’ ” West says. “Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different.”
And you could call him a shoe expert because as far as it goes West knows what he is talking about; he says he has no idea how many shoes he owns, but he does know that he routinely needs to send shipments off to storage. The much anticipated LV-Kanye collaboration will be available at Louis Vuitton stores in June.
